Marlow, Buckinghamshire, 22/9/1963
Site of Marlow Brickyard visited in connection with report on flints found there c. 1939. Walked from Pinkney's Green and found several white-patinated flakes beside a small chalk exposure in the woods above Bisham, at SU 856851.
Chertsey, Surrey, 29/9/1963
Visited Barrow Hill with H Copsey to look for the three alleged barrows. Found two mounds, as described by L V Grinsell, but suspect they are landscape features. The smaller has been mutilated by military construction work.
Also saw the other mounds at Flutters Hill and the large on in the woods to the south, last seen in 1955.
