Walked to the sites of 2 pits as marked on 2½ OS. Merryhill Green pit now filled in by R.D.C. Other behind Crimpy Crisps, I could not find in the time I had available.

Artefact no 2997 , Waste flake of unusual flint, red and gray.
Artefact no 2998 , Butt end of broken microlith, probably an obliquely blunted point. Found by Miranda.
Artefact no 2999 , Micro-core, on F.C. land 50yds NE of pond.
Artefact no 3000 , Leaf-shaped arrowhead of grey flint, tip missing. On path at extreme N end of reserve.
Artefact no 3001 , Transverse arrowhead of brown, grey lustrous flint. Part of cutting edge broken. Found by R Smewing on reverse, about 100yds from N end.
Artefact no 3002 , Micro-core.
