Section exposed as below, right-hand side being a continuance of the section worked upon last visit (28.12.53), about three feet further into the face.
(A) Clean sandy gravel
(B) Ochreous & manganese-stained inconsisten bands. Many flakes and a few bone fragments in this layer.
(C1) Manganese stained gravel
(C2) ditto but staining heavier and contiguous with thin red-band., (sketch of exposed section)
