A small, thin flint flake in mint condition was found by Mr Tim Lawson in a fallen boulder of the Cromerian 'Rootlet Bed', during the course of the visit of the Quaternary Research Association. It was slightly protruding and when removed by Tim Lawson, the cast of it was clearly impressed upon the silty clay of the bed. There was no disturbance of any of the contorted bedding and it cannot have been intrusive either by natural means or human falsification.
I witnessed its discovery.
