Large rectangular barn with three concrete embrasures in the N side, covering the bridge over the Leeds Liverpool Canal. One concrete and three brick embrasures in the W side facing the road. There are also an additional 3 embrasures in the E side.

Defended building. A farm outbuilding with 3 embrasures visible. There could be more but the building is covered with ivy.

Three loopholes (now blocked) are cut in the upper end (facing NW to the bridge) of a barn by the lane. Other loopholes in the SW side of the barn are undoubtedly hidden by ivy.
