Pillbox covers road junction on minor road from Hebden Bridge to Colne. 1100ft above sea level. Set on top of hill with rear set into hillside, approached by a flight of concrete steps. Capped by soil nearly 1m thick, covered with grass. Complete, and in good repair, with cheek-pieces, still lying on the floor, to narrow embrasures. Set into the embankment at the side of the road, below, are 20 concrete cylinders (50cm in height and diameter) which appear to have belonged to a roadblock.
