NotesImport or imported potter working near who trained either at Aoste or where there were potters working in the Aoste tradition, making form Gillam 236. Not to be confused with a 2nd century potter in Gaul who stamped Atticino, or a potter in the VRW region stamping ATTICATI or V, who is not linked in form or fabric though the latter is of Flavian date. Two mortaria, both at Fishbourne, Sussex (Cunliffe 1975, fig 82, nos.2 and 3, in contexts pre AD75 and 75-80; profiles exactly match those of the Atisii of Aoste).
