(Source: Air Photograph 1940/08/31)
Very fine example of a type 24 pillbox. Thick-walled and concrete-faced. Remains of gun mount fixings, and patterned interior metal lining to walls. Dug in to the ground very close to the river bank, facing NNE to enfilade the river. Stepped embrasures. Brick anti-ricochet wall. Access possible inside and out - close to footpath.
