There are 6 x pillboxes at this site, all of the same two storey type, built of concrete and red brick, with an unroofed upper storey. This was originally reached by an external ladder, now all removed. The floor plan is square with a side entrance porch. The embrasures are very long and thin, possibly 5ft x 6ins. Of the six pillboxes on the original site, five remain within the boundaries of the current industrial estate and the sixth is in a scrap yard next to the level crossing on the A3055, the best part of a mile away [possibly site UORN 6970].

Machine gun post at ST 202260 on the perimeter of the Army Supply Depot. The post has embrasures for ground defence and a platform above, presumably for low level air defence. Access to platform by iron ladder at rear. All posts in depot appear to have had telephones (see insulators).
